This is training day 1. It feels great to back in the saddle. As promised, I started my work out routine with P90X on today on 11-16-09. Last week was sort of a “getting ready” week so to speak. I change my eating habits and started to follow the meal plan and portion approach in the nutrition guide that comes with all Official P90X DVD series. I also hit the bike a little longer ( it didn’t really help since working out on a stationary bike is aerobic, with be me being a “little” out-of-shape, there are phases on the core synergistic work out that I end up doing anaerobically cause I’m trying to catch my breath). I’m confident that will change in time. Was it a struggle today? Of course!
They didn’t call it extreme home fitness for nothing. I found my self grunting, whole body shaking, stumbling, fumbling but hey – it feels good to endure to the end of the video even if I couldn’t finish some of the sets.
I’m looking forward to doing this again, because it’s really challenging me to get better. Tony Horton sums it up best:
” This routine recruits multiple muscle groups to build and support the core muscles, while at the same time conditioning your body from head to toe. Few people realize the vital role their core muscles play in everyday activities – which will give you even more of an edge.”

So there you have it, pressing play and getting it on is my day 1 accomplishment because I by no means conquered core synergistic today. But, to be successful in anything you have to start somewhere. I kept the promise to myself and made no excuses. I didn’t have time all week to get my dumbbells (used resistance bands), my supplements haven’t come yet but if i didn’t start today I felt like I would never start and besides 1 week of eating right, and averaging about an hour on the bike didn’t seem to do much for my body I definitely need something better and start on my journey known as Muscle Confusion with P90X. I’m looking forward to see me on day 30, 60 and Day 90. Hope you are too, because I know it really works!
