Working Out Legs and Back with P90X

Marine Corp Drill Instructor pointing out that this is work out summary post and that it's P90X training day #05Do you have an area of your body that you know needs some work?  For me, I just discovered the weakest area of my body.  It just so happens to contain the longest muscle, and the biggest group of muscles.  If you know your anatomy and said “legs”, you answered correctly.

Most people (or at least most guys I know) spend countless hours at the gym working out their upper bodies.  Some of them gain a lot of muscle mass only to be top heavy and have skinny spaghetti string legs.  The P90X Legs and Back routine is designed to eliminate that.  The program is proportioned enough to work on all aspects of your body giving you a balanced “cut” look.

With what I experienced on Saturday while working out, I have no doubt that for those who want to sculpt legs will benefit from the exercise routines.  There is not much weight involved, but using your own body weight does wonders.  In fact, It’s Tuesday as I write this and My Gluts (a.k.a. butt) is still sore, and so are my quads.  Yes I did do Kenpo X on Sunday, but that is a pure cardio workout using Kenpo Karate so all this soreness I feel is the after affect of a great workout on Saturday doing a Legs and Back routine.

I look forward to having stronger legs, not to mention a more defined and sculpted leg and calf.  I can use the strength running and playing basketball.

I have to mention that I believe the legs routine has by far been the most difficult program for me.  It challenges me to get better, so in a sense P90X is becoming a sport for me that I’d like to master.  The only things that sucks is once I do, the program changes up to induce muscle confusion and it’s back to square one.
